The Mission of the Ho-Chunk Transportation Authority is to provide safe, well maintained roadways for the Ho-Chunk Nation as well as the general public. We plan, construct and maintain the roads of the Nation.

Through an open door policy, listening to our communities, our representatives, and our Government, we will plan, construct and maintain the roads of the Nation. Honest and transparent fiduciaries of the funds entrusted to us.

Projects

The mission of the Ho-Chunk Transportation Authority is to provide safe, well maintained roadways for the Ho-Chunk Nation membership as well as the general public. We plan, construct and maintain the roads of the Nation.

Transportation Planning

HTA shall perform the survey, design, right-of-way, archeological and environmental services, road improvement or road construction for the Bureau of Indian Affairs Roads Construction Projects as identified in the TTIP. The HTA is currently responsible for over 33 miles of roads located in Black River Falls, Nekoosa, Tomah, Baraboo, Wittenberg, and the Wisconsin Dells areas. The HTA Maintenance program receives funding annually to maintain BIA and Tribal owned Roadways.
